Au royaume africain du Zamunda, son altesse royale, le prince Akeem célèbre ses 21 ans, devant ainsi majeur et doit se marier. Depuis son plus jeune âge, des servantes toutes dévouées ont toujours satisfait le moindre de ses désirs, même les plus intimes et parfait à son éducations royale. Ses parents, le roi Jaffe Joffer et la reine Aoleon, lui ont choisi une future épouse, Imani Izzi, qui n’a été élevée que pour servir le futur roi.
